The IT System Administrator is responsible for leading and managing the company’s Azure cloud infrastructure, on-premise IT systems, network operations, IT security, and end-user support. This role ensures high availability, security, and optimal performance of IT systems while driving continuous improvements and managing the IT support team.
The role involves oversight of infrastructure upgrades, cloud governance, cost optimization, DR processes, onboarding workflows, policy compliance, and vendor management. Strong hands-on technical expertise combined with leadership capabilities is essential.

The IT System Administrator is responsible for leading and managing the company’s Azure cloud infrastructure, on-premise IT systems, network operations, IT security, and end-user support. This role ensures high availability, security, and optimal performance of IT systems while driving continuous improvements and managing the IT support team.

Responsibilities:
Azure Cloud Infrastructure Management:
- Manage Azure resources, including VMs, App Services, VNets, NSGs, Azure AD, Storage, Key Vault, and monitoring tools.
- Lead VM provisioning, scaling, patching, backup, and automation.
- Monitor and optimize Azure cloud costs and performance.
- Implement secure cloud governance: RBAC, MFA, conditional access, and identity lifecycle.
- Manage hybrid network connectivity, including VPN gateways, firewalls, and routing.
- Administer Windows Servers, Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, GPOs, and file servers.
- Manage patching cycles, downtime planning, and incident response.
- Ensure reliability, availability, and performance across all IT systems.
- Plan and execute infrastructure upgrades, migrations, and modernization initiatives.
- Lead L1/L2 IT support teams to ensure timely issue resolution.
- Oversee service desk operations and ticket workflows.
- Manage onboarding processes: laptop provisioning, MFA setup, access control, and IT compliance.
- Maintain IT asset management, license tracking, and audit readiness.
- Oversee network stability, firewall rules, VPN access, and endpoint security.
- Implement and monitor security controls: EDR/antivirus, encryption, and device compliance.
- Ensure secure backup policies and DR practices.
- Maintain IT policies, SOPs, infrastructure diagrams, and access documentation.
- Conduct root cause analysis (RCA) for incidents and implement preventive actions.
- Drive improvements through automation and process optimization.
- Manage vendor coordination for hardware, software, and network support.
- Mentor and guide IT support and infrastructure team members.
- Plan workloads, manage priorities, and conduct performance reviews.
- Collaborate with DevOps, Product, QA, and Business teams for IT requirements.
- Communicate IT updates, risks, and improvements to management.
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field.
- 5–12 years of experience in IT infrastructure, system administration, or cloud administration.
- Azure certifications such as AZ-104 or AZ-305 are preferred.
- Strong hands-on experience with Azure Cloud, Windows Server, Active Directory, and networking.
- Experience managing IT support operations and leading small technical teams.
- Experience with Intune/MDM, PowerShell scripting, and cloud governance.
- Understanding of security frameworks (ISO, SOC2) and compliance practices.
- Strong troubleshooting and root cause analysis skills.
- Knowledge of firewall concepts, VPN, endpoint security, and backup solutions.
