About the Job
We are seeking an experienced and passionate HR Manager to join our team at Systel Inc. This is a unique opportunity to establish and lead our Human Resources function within an established organization. The HR Manager will play a crucial role in shaping our company culture, managing HR operations, and building out the HR function at Systel.

This is a full-time onsite position based in our Sugar Land, TX headquarters. This position reports directly to the President of the company.

Key Responsibilities
  • HR Operations: Manage and administer employee benefits, handle employee conflict resolution, and oversee all aspects of the employee lifecycle, including recruiting, hiring, onboarding, performance management, and offboarding.
  • HR Compliance: Ensure the company complies with all relevant HR laws and regulations. Maintain and update HR policies, procedures, and documentation as needed.
  • Culture and Engagement: Lead initiatives to enhance company culture, including employee surveys, training and development programs, and organizing company events and functions.
  • Talent Acquisition and Management: Develop and implement recruitment strategies to attract top talent. Manage the onboarding process to ensure new employees are integrated successfully.
  • Performance Management: Oversee the performance review process, working with managers to ensure fair and consistent evaluations and to identify opportunities for employee growth and development.
  • Employee Development: Identify and implement training programs to support employee development and career progression.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with senior leadership to align HR strategies with business objectives. Provide guidance and support to managers and employees on HR-related matters.

Qualifications
  • Educational Background: Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field. An HR certification (e.g., PHR, SHRM-CP) is a plus.
  • Experience: 5+ years of HR generalist experience, with demonstrated experience in managing HR operations, compliance, talent acquisition, performance management, and employee relations. Experience in a manufacturing or engineering environment is highly valued. Proven ability to build and lead HR functions in a dynamic environment. A self-starter with the ability to develop new processes and programs.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively interact with employees at all levels of the organization.
  • Organizational Skills: Strong organizational and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
  • Collaboration: Ability to work collaboratively with senior leadership and across all functions of the company.
  • Tools: Strong experience using Microsoft Office applications. Familiarity with commercial HR management systems (examples: Zoho, Workday, BambooHR, etc.).
